Busy time for Watheroo golfers

THE Watheroo golf women played Stableford last Wednesday with Colleen Mitchell winning the day from Debbie Glover.

The golfers commenced championships this week and play two days of 27 holes of stroke.

Next Wednesday will be the final day.

Noelene Reed has arrived back from Canada just in time.

The men played Stableford on Saturday with David McLean coming in as the winner for the fixture.

Adam Millsteed was runner-up on a countback from David Glover and Brent Millsteed.

The men commence their championships this Saturday with 27 holes of stroke.

Players need to be at the pavilion by 9am for a 9.30am start.

The second round will be on the following Saturday.

The Glovers and the Millsteeds played at Wubin on Friday in the annual Leesons’ day.

Debbie and David made the winners’ circle.

Len Mitchell and Gary Reed played 36 holes of golf at Perenjori in the Victoria District Championships on Sunday.

They had a very long day.

A charity day will be held on September 2.
