ST James Anglican Church in Moora celebrated on July 22 as six young local people were welcomed to holy communion by Bishop Tom Wilmot, the assistant bishop of Perth.
Isaac Pond, Liam Burnett, Victoria Easton, Spencer Easton, Erin Brown and Andrew Brown declared their love and trust in Jesus as they received holy communion for the first time.
They were joined at the service by parishioners and their families, godparents and friends and then at a luncheon in the Parish Room.
A beautiful celebratory cake was made by Tracey Brown and enjoyed by all.
Monthly services are held at St James, Moora and in Watheroo on the second Sunday at 8.30am Moora and 11am at Watheroo, and on the fourth Sunday at 10am in Moora.
