Moora producer represents CMA in rural ambassador judging

REPRESENTING the Central Midlands Agricultural Society in this year’s judging of the Midwest Group’s rural ambassador award is Arthur Hall, 29, a primary producer from Moora.

Mr Hall, who represented the Midwest Group in 2011, was the runner-up in the Royal Agricultural Society State Rural Ambassador Awards.

The Central Midlands Agricultural Society will host the awards judging and presentation this year at a function to be held at the Moora Bowling Club on July 28.

The agricultural societies that form the Midwest Group consist of Moora, Northampton, Mullewa and Perenjori.

Each year there is a high calibre of contestants for the honour of representing the Midwest Group which is very challenging for the judging panel.

President of the CMAS David Hall said that as hosts for the awards this year they will be holding a silent auction during the evening as a fundraiser for the agricultural society.

A number of items which have been donated from local businesses will be in the auction and the winners will not be announced until show day in Moora on September 22.

Tickets for the function can be purchased from Sue Hall on 9654 5042.
