Glover affair for Landmark trophy

THE numbers at the Watheroo Golf have increased for the Saturday golf with a few more having finished seeding.

The Landmark trophy day was a Glover affair with Jayden winning from his father, David.

David Glover and Brent Millsteed took the nearest the pins for the day.

On the previous Saturday, Gary Reed won the Stableford round from Brent Millsteed.

Last Wednesday the women played stroke for Moya and Doug Coppin’s trophy. The winner was Colleen Mitchell with a nett 71.

Valma Bricknell was runner-up with a nett 73.

Jan Millsteed won the putting competition with a total of 29 putts.

The novelties went to Ivy Harris, Noelene Reed and Valma Bricknell.

The previous week was also played with the odd shower annoying the golfers. Noelene Reed won the Valma and Quinton Bricknell trophy with Colleen Mitchell runner-up.

Debbie Glover had the only nearest the pin on No. 6.

The novelties were won by Moya Coppin and Valma Bricknell, who had three.

Golf open days are appearing on the calendar.

Well done to Debbie Glover and Colleen Mitchell who travelled to Jurien for the women’s open day there.
