MOORA Primary School recently held a book fair which turned out to be a big week of events and sales.
The fair was organised by Karen Atkinson who had prepared the library for the event and developed a range of initiatives to engage and involve the whole school community.
The school acknowledged and thanked the students, parents and staff who supported the book fair by purchasing books.
There was a two-fold benefit from purchase of the books, the first being that it put more books into the hands of children to read at home for pleasure and secondly that it builds the library collection and adds to the range of resources available to children.
“Star War books proved a popular choice with the students along with several new chapter books in the middle primary age group,” Mrs Atkinson said.
“The school’s next book fair will be in term four in time for the Christmas shopping”.
