A SIXTY-nine-year-old man from the Wheatbelt area has been charged with historical child sex offences and was due to appear in the Moora Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
It is alleged the man sexually assaulted one victim numerous times between 1997 and 1998.
The first offence allegedly occurred when the victim was eight years old.
Between 1990 and 1998 the man was a teacher at a Wheatbelt primary school.
It will be further alleged between 2000 and 2004 the man sexually assaulted another victim who was four years old when the first offence occurred.
Child Abuse Squad investigators have charged the man with six counts of indecent dealing with a child under 13 years; four counts of sexual penetration of a child under 13 years; one count of a sexual relationship with a child under the age of 16; and one count of deprivation of liberty.
