Lewis Holden Cruzers win again

04 Mar, 2010 01:56 PM
ON WEDNESDAY, February 17 the finals ended up being between the Lewis Holden Cruzers and the Moora Home Furnishing team at the Corporate Bowls Cup, which is held annually at the Moora Bowling Club.

The Cruzers just squeaked into the finals due to an upset win by the Landmark Grandkids over the hitherto unbeaten Cunningham Tourists.

This win enabled the Cruzers to top the Wednesday night group.

The Thursday night competition was a tight affair with six teams having a chance of qualifying.

The Home Furnishings team was the most consistent but the Lewis Holden Cruzers won the shield for the second year in a row.

The Moora Bowling Club thanked and congratulated everyone that assisted and participated in the 16th running of the event.

The event brings together the business houses and community in a fun and social atmosphere.
