New citizens for Victoria Plains

FIVE people became Victoria Plains’ newest citizens on Australia Day.

The day started with a free community breakfast held in Progress Park Calingiri and organised by the Calingiri Progress Association and the Shire of Victoria Plains.

Shire president Geoff Erickson welcomed all attending and read the message from the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship followed by the ceremony for the five recipients where everyone read their pledges and affirmations followed by the Australian national anthem.
